Welcome New Employee: Andrea Carter

We are pleased to welcome Andrea Carter as the newest member of the Program Services team led by Doug Moore. Andrea comes to AdvantageCS from Florida, her home state, where she worked most recently as a business analyst/developer at a home builder company.

Andrea grew up in north Florida, near St. Augustine, and attended the University of Florida, where she majored in sports management. She then moved to Michigan to be near her boyfriend who was attending the University of Michigan. Andrea decided to pursue her interest in business and earned an MBA in finance from Wayne State University, while also working at the U of M credit union. After graduation, she worked for Citibank and then Sterling Bank and Trust in the mortgage area, for a total of six years.

A family issue took Andrea back to Florida and while there, she decided to explore her interest in technology and attended a coding boot camp at the University of Central Florida. She found that she enjoys coding and took a position at a large home builder as a business analyst/developer.

Happily, the family issue was successfully resolved, and Andrea moved back to Michigan and joined AdvantageCS. She says that the fact that the job description made it clear that they wanted someone who was willing to learn new things was a big factor in her decision, as most jobs were described with defined duties and parameters.

Since joining the team in September, Andrea has been getting her feet wet working on client upgrade activities with her teammates and working on new reporting needs for the team. Doug says that she is picking up new things quickly and is already beginning to contribute in a number of ways.

When she’s not working, Andrea likes to attend her spin class, and enjoys hiking, fantasy football and travel. She is a big college football fan and her favorite team is---you guessed it---the Florida Gators.

Welcome, Andrea, to the AdvantageCS family!
