We are happy to introduce Brad Hooser as the newest member of the Implementation Services group led by Daryl Vautour. Brad comes to AdvantageCS from Consumers Power where he worked on new business models for solar battery storage. Although he enjoyed doing that, Brad was interested in working with software and data in a position that provided more customer contact. The opportunity at AdvantageCS was just what he was looking for.
Brad earned a bachelor’s degree in economics, with a minor in econometrics, from the University of Michigan. He says that economics provided him with valuable experience in critical thinking. The answers to economic questions, Brad explains, are not obvious and it takes creative reasoning to uncover them. The process is similar in many ways to what is needed to implement software.
Having direct contact with clients and working to solve their problems is something Brad enjoys about his position here at AdvantageCS. Currently, he is involved in a large implementation project and is working on data conversion.
Brad grew up in northwest Ohio---close to the borders of both Michigan and Indiana---where his parents, younger brother and extended family still live. It’s just a few hours’ drive from where Brad now lives in Saline. His house is close to a great dog park where he likes to take his American Eskimo dog, Numa.
In his leisure time, besides walking his dog, Brad enjoys reading science fiction and philosophy. In fact, he is working on his own science fiction novel.
Welcome, Brad, to the AdvantageCS family!
