Looking Forward to 2026

Happy 2026! The start of a new year is always a great time for reflection and planning. Here in the U.S., it’s common practice to formulate “new year’s resolutions,” or personal goals to work towards. We asked our employees to share theirs and found that many of us are prioritizing our health and fitness.

Business Analyst Christian Fifelski is keeping it simple. His resolution is to drink less coffee and get more sleep. Fellow Business Analyst Kayla Patrick is focused on sourcing food locally and having less screen time. Our Executive Director of Product & Market Strategy John Sheehy wants to stay active through regular exercise — not only for the physical benefits, but for the mental boost. Staff Engineer Alan Cherney plans to run a marathon, while our Technical Writer & Digital Media Producer Evan Chung hopes to participate in an amateur Muay Thai fight by the end of the year.

Fortunately, AdvantageCS offers several benefits and programs to support employees in their healthy habits. Our headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan include a gym and racquetball (better known as “wallyball”) court. We even have a professional fitness instructor in our midst! Senior Content Strategist Eva Johnson, who is also a certified personal trainer, has been leading weekly total-body fitness classes for over 12 years and recently introduced a monthly yoga class – all of which are free for AdvantageCS employees. As noted by Eva, “it’s rewarding to work at AdvantageCS, where connection is encouraged through group fitness and team sports like wallyball several times a week, reinforcing a culture that supports staying active, having fun, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.”

Going back to our resolutions, family and relationships was also a recurring theme. Business Analyst James Varblow is looking forward to the birth of his first child this April. Fellow Business Analyst Gabriel Rees is also expecting a child in 2026 (his second). Senior Business Analyst Eric Burbeck is striving to show more compassion and care for the people he encounters in life – something we can all aspire to!

What are your new year’s resolutions? Whatever they may be, we hope 2026 brings you joy and success.
