Welcome New Team Member: Evan Chung
We are thrilled to introduce Evan Chung, who joined the Technical Writing / Digital Media team led by John Sheehy. Evan’s wide range of experience and skills make him a valuable asset to our company.
Born in Farmington Hills, Michigan, and having lived in various places such as New Jersey, California, and Tennessee, Evan found his way back to Ann Arbor, where he pursued an English major with a film minor at the University of Michigan.
Evan’s career path took an exciting turn during freshmen year after realizing his true calling wasn’t in computer science, but rather in media creation. With prior experience in various roles, including scooping ice cream at Washtenaw Dairy, bussing tables, working at the Central Campus Recreation Building (CCRB), and an internship with the University of Michigan Information & Technology Services (ITS), Evan brings a unique blend of creativity and attention to detail to his role at AdvantageCS.
Joining AdvantageCS was the ideal match for Evan because it aligned perfectly with his skill set and background. He appreciates the local work environment that allows him to remain in Ann Arbor and the supportive/inclusive community of his employees. He looks forward to creating tutorial videos for our online help documentation, focusing on making them concise and relevant for Advantage clients.
Outside of work, Evan is committed to personal growth and optimal physical well-being, learning as much as possible about diet, nutrition, and exercise. A fun fact about Evan is that he is a lifetime martial artist with 7 years of Taekwondo, 3 years of kickboxing, a summer of Judo, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under his belt. Martial arts have become one of Evan’s favorite forms of artistic self-expression; he wants to learn Capoeira or Wing Chun so he can add those elements to his game/style.
