Supporting Our Community: Hope Clinic

Last month, we held our annual fundraising drive to benefit Hope Clinic, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing “whole person” care to individuals who may have limited access to healthcare and other resources. Hope Clinic's holistic approach is both unique and impactful. Instead of separating needs and treating them individually, Hope Clinic brings together a wide range of professionals, volunteers, and community partners to offer comprehensive, dignified support to those in need.

Founded in 1982, Hope Clinic now operates two facilities – one here in Washtenaw County, and one in Wayne County. Last year, staff and volunteers responded to over 117,000 requests for help. Assistance comes in many forms; their wide range of services includes:

Basic needs, such as diapers and other essentials
Food assistance comprising grocery support, fresh produce, and hot meals
Free laundry access
Medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare
Social service referrals and resource coordination

Thanks to the generosity of our employees, our 2026 drive raised $13,240. Betsy King-McDonald, Communications Manager at Hope Clinic spoke about Hope Clinic's legacy and lasting impact. “Our founder, Dr. Dan [father of Dan Heffernan, AdvantageCS’s former VP of Sales, Marketing & Product Planning] had a vision that is just as potent today as it was over 40 years ago: that no one should have to struggle to meet their basic healthcare needs. Today, with the help of supporters like AdvantageCS, Hope Clinic continues to provide free medical care to people without insurance, as well as dental care, behavioral health care, food, and essentials like diapers, baby wipes, and access to laundry machines."
